“Over the past four years, our son has participated in the Alley Oop Skim Camp that are held in North Carolina. We are extremely pleased with how the camps have been run and the professionalism of the instructors. The instructors engage all of the campers and teach the necessary skim boarding skills that will help your son or daughter excel in this fun and exciting sport.” – Doug and Kathie Gray, North Carolina
"FOR THE PAST EIGHT SEASONS MY SON ZACH HAS THOROUGHLY ENJOYED HIS EXPERIENCE AT ALLEY-OOP SKIM CAMP. IT HAS BEEN A HIGHLIGHT OF HIS SUMMER! AS A YOUNG CAMPER HE PARTICULARLY ENJOYED PARTICIPATING WITH THE OLDER KIDS. OVER THE YEARS FRIENDSHIPS DEVELOPED DURING THE CAMP WEEK THAT HE NOW RENEWS EACH SEASON WHEN WE ARRIVE AT THE BEACH. THE CAMP COUNSELORS HAVE BEEN CONSISTENTLY PROFESSIONAL AND A POSITIVE INFLUENCE ON THE KIDS, MAKING SURE THAT THEY ‘CONNECT’ WITH EACH CHILD IN A PERSONAL MANNER. EACH DAY IS STRUCTURED TO PROVIDE A MIX OF ACTIVITIES THAT ALLOW KIDS OF DIFFERENT AGES AND ABILITIES TO FEEL INCLUDED AND SUCCESSFUL."

"Our boys are always very excited for the Alley Oop Skim camp and look forward to this week of summer every year! This camp has helped advanced our sons' skills in the sport of skimboarding by the small differentiated group instruction, through encouragement and support in a fun atmosphere, and with comradery the skimboarding professionals build with the campers! Thanks to Alley Oop for always providing a great week of sun, surf, skills and skimboarding!"

"The excitement and pride the kids show after a day's session of skimboarding really shine. Every day, the kids drag themselves off the beach in what I call a "happy-exhaustion." The instructors were fully aware of their responsibilities for the health & safety of each camper and easy to work with. After the many positive experiences, my son will return for his third summer of skimboard camp."

"My family feels like they live 2 lives, one in Pennsylvania in the winter and one at the beach in Delaware in the summer. My children's main sport in the winter here in PA is Basketball (THEY LOVE IT!!!) Their other main sport in the summer time is to "skim" (THEY LOVE IT!!!) on the waters of our eastern coastline, where we have had the pleasure of getting to know many people through the efforts of those in the skim community at Alley Oop. As a parent, I must say, I am somewhat reluctant to "trust" many with the safety of my children, but we have spent many years going to the "free" clinics that have been run by these fine people, attended their tireless efforts behind the scenes to organize other events to provide a family atmosphere geared towards children's interest, and FINALLY felt comfortable enough to enroll 2 of our boys in their skim camp program last year. The "camp counselors" were more than terrific! They each felt passionate about helping those kids achieve "their" personal best. I could go on an on about it, but I will stop with this, my boys are so passionate about this sport now, that we just had to re-enroll them this year in the camp, and, they WANT to go the same week they went last year because all of their "new friends" go again that week! Our decision was made easy for us parents because of the way my children felt while being under the care of these fine young men and women dedicating "their" personal best to assist with mentoring my kids. You just have to check it out!"
