Alley-Oop was started as a skimboarding summer camp in 2000 by long time skimboarder Corey Mahoney. Shortly after the first Skim Camp was run Corey joined forces with professional skimboarder Jason Wilson to help develop a teaching program and expand on Alley-Oop’s service offering.

For the next six years Corey and Jason worked together with a crew of friends and some of the best skimboarders in Delaware to build what is now the most extensive and recognized skim camp in the world.

In 2007 Alley-Oop opened it’s own skim shop and camp headquarters in Dewey Beach, DE as well as a new online shop and reservation system that would set foundation for Alley-Oop to grow into a global skim company.

Since then we have expanded our offering of skim camps to new locations, built a highly recognized skim brand, and become one of the most respected and knowledgeable skim companies around. In 2008 we teamed up with world renowned skimboarder Paulo Prietto to develop and offer guided skim travel packages through a program called Alley-Oop Adventures. Along with Paulo and his Solag Skim School, Alley-Oop Adventures offered yearly skim trips to some of the best skim locations in the world.

The experience gained over the past 15 years of running skimboarding programs has led us to recently expanded our offering to now include surfing and skateboarding lessons!

We welcome everyone to join us. No matter what your skill level. Alley-Oop has someone who can work with you to help improve your riding, build confidence, and have more fun on your board. Even if you’re just looking for some fun entertainment at the beach, we have got you covered.

With a team of the most talented skimboarders and instructors on the planet Alley-Oop takes pride in capturing and passing along the lifestyle we live as skimboarders. Often imitated and never duplicated Alley-Oop now stands on the forefront of skimboarding as it moves forward into the future.
